History of ITP Western Express and the Owners
The American Dream becomes a Reality!
In the early 1990s, our founders each left Eastern Europe, searching for better lives in America. Both landed in New Jersey, not speaking a word of English, taking whatever work they could find. That's where they met - two immigrants grinding it out in the New York/New Jersey Metro Area, trying to build something from nothing.
Their bond - and eventually, the need to provide for their children - pushed them to work harder than they ever thought possible. He started driving home delivery routes while she handled the paperwork, tracked expenses, and kept everything organized. Together, they saved every dollar they could.
After years of relentless work, they bought their first box truck, hauling furniture and appliances throughout the tri-state area. She dispatched him, managed the finances, and made sure every penny counted. As the business grew, they reinvested everything into their first big rig and hit the road for long-haul freight.
Over 1 million miles and 48 states later, they knew the trucking industry could be better. They'd experienced firsthand how carriers treated drivers—and they wanted to build something different. Together, they founded ITP Western Express on a simple principle: treat owner-operators the way they wished they'd been treated.
